Try to wake up early and walk in the ghats or take a boat ride. It's too hot during the day, hence take rest in a cool place during the day and go out again at evening. Walk at Godhulia. explore places in Bengoli Tola. Dine in at the restaurants at the riverside. Travel. Enjoy your life.

Shri Kashi Vishwanath Mandir was the reason we went to Varanasi but we discovered more & more with each passing day. More Mandir, more stories and more discoveries.
The city never ceases to surprise you. Narrow streets, zillion shops, food all around and so many faces, you just cant stop getting overwhelmed. This city cant be absorbed in a single lifetime.
A must visit once in a life.
But yes, be prepared for CRAZY traffic because of Locals + Tourists.

If you’re planning a trip to India, one destination that...
If you’re planning a trip to India, one destination that absolutely must be on your itinerary is Varanasi. As the oldest inhabited city in the world and a sacred place for Hindus, Varanasi offers a profound experience that bridges the gap between past and present. The city’s timeless ambiance immerses you in history while maintaining a vibrant connection to contemporary life. Its bustling streets, teeming with people and infused with chaotic energy, add an undeniable charm to this enigmatic city.
Varanasi is a treasure trove of culture and tradition, offering visitors a deeper understanding of Indian faiths, religions, and society. From the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti ceremonies on the ghats to the labyrinthine lanes of the old city, every corner of Varanasi tells a story of spiritual significance and cultural richness. Exploring its ancient temples, engaging with local rituals, and witnessing the ebb and flow of life along the sacred Ganges River are experiences that will stay with you long after you’ve left.
Moreover, Varanasi’s culinary scene is a delight for food enthusiasts, offering a diverse array of flavors and delicacies that tantalize the taste buds. Whether savoring mouthwatering street food or indulging in traditional Banarasi cuisine, every meal in Varanasi is a culinary adventure.
In essence, a visit to Varanasi is not just a journey through space, but also through time and spirituality. It’s an immersion into the essence of India, where ancient traditions coexist harmoniously with modern realities, leaving an indelible mark on the soul of every traveler.

Varanasi is a pilgrimage city, heritage city with a history...
Varanasi is a pilgrimage city, heritage city with a history of 3000 years. It has a very special appeal and charms to Indians and for foreigners willing to explore India. For me it was a memory revisited after more than 50 years. Varanasi is a place to experience spiritual -the temples, Ganga Aarati, evening cruise - to happy indulgences - famous eateries of so many varieties, shops for souvenirs, Varanasi sarees and everything else, all within a small place.
However, the surging and unmanageable crowd coupled with absolutely chaotic and undisciplined traffic that do not allow even a bit of personal space bore one down very soon.
Well, still it's an experience to enjoy it to the full.

Standard rooms space are very uncomfortable and unable to adjust for longer period of time . It can be more spacious as per price of the room . Also other facilities like internet , service were not at par excellence.
The best hotel in Varanasi. Located in recently rebuilt traditional Indian house. Not only very clean and comfortable rooms, but also delicious Indian food and the owner who treats you as his family. We will miss our talks with the man who knows everything about Indian culture and heritage. Great location 5 minutes walk from the main Ghat is not easy to find at the first time. But you can always contact the owner on WhatsApp.
During my stay in India I didn't have the opportunity to find such a great hotel as Sugar Stars Inn in Varanasi.
Really comfortable, great ubication and very nice and attentive people.
They helped us with every single thing: from recommending us tipical Indian restaurants to getting in contact with a local guide who showed us this incredible city.
Highly recommended to anyone who visits Varanasi.
Im come at Spain at Varanasi for exploring Varanasi. The place is so good and i explore so much places at Varanasi. This place is ritual . About us hotel the hotel is excellent and hotel rooms is excellent with excellent service with excellent quality of food . They provide us breakfast on Indian food Puri sabji and also provide Indian sweets jalebi and it's so tasty and yummy. Thanks Varanasi
I have stayed at dozen of hotels all over India but this was on the top of the list of best stays ever. Staff was very hospitable and there for every need of mine. Thank you so much. And now this would definitely be the place I would stay every time I would travel to Varanasi.
If you're a solo backpacker who would want to enjoy Varanasi then I would definitely recommend you to stay here.
Location of the hotel is easily accesible for tuktuks and taxis. Dont have to worry about dragging your luggage through the narrow streets of varanasi. Close and easy access to the ghats. Close to good local restaurants and cafes in the assi ghat area which is quite lively at night. Hot water in bathroom works well. The staff working there tries their best to be helpful.
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, good room service and the location is very close to the railway station.
Would definitely stay there again if I end up in Varanasi. Could be a little bit cheaper but it's a great hotel with very good staff. Highly recommend it! The pictures on this booking site seem up to date and represent their actual rooms.
This was a lovely hotel with all the facilities. The space inside this property is very good. Staff was exceptional specially Mr.Navneet at the restaurant.
Mr.Dharmendra at the restaurant too was very courteous and helpful. Its a very well maintained property with clean rooms and good food. One of the best hotels to stay if you are visiting Varanasi.
Nice hotel in excellent situation. Room was also very nice. But the best of all were the hotel guys, very friendly and helpful - they nearly bent over backwards to help me organizing my stay at Varanasi.
The only drawback was that the room was infested by moskitoes - so bring a big bottle of insect repellent if you are going to stay there!
We had a three day stay here..The place is amazing..
The hotel staff is very friendly..One of the best location of Varanasi ..Everything is nearby..It's 5 min walk from Assi ghat and all the good restaurants like Potli Batti Chokha is nearby..
It is 2 km from BHU ....The rooms along with washrooms are very clean...
The Brijrama Palace is simply beautiful and in the best location in Varanasi. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always there to help you with any request. The breakfast and lunch at the hotel were excellent. We also enjoyed very much the music and dance performances they have at the hotel throughout the day.
The owner and caretaker Mr. Rahul was extremely helpful and polite. He listens to every criticism and works on them. He was always available for any assistance. His behavior was better than the 5-star hotel staff of Varanasi.
The food Was great. It would be best if you tried this place when you visit Varanasi.
The overall customer service is excellent but the front desk and restaurant was consistently on top of their service delivery. The breakfast was good and given enough to choose from, at least some options was there for non-Indians. The overall hotel cleanliness is moderate given it is undergoing construction.
I visited Varanasi for One day and selected Hotel Raj palace near railway station. It was good experience staying in this hotel. FDM of the hotel was so polite caring and helpful. The location is so good and most of places to visit are nearby and on walking distance. Room was neat and clean.
Gullyghar is one of the best guest house in Assi and nearby areas in Varanasi.
I'd great experience staying there.
Behaviour of staffs are also good, all the staffs are gentle and humble.
This Hotel is only 100m away from Assi Ghat, one can enjoy the beauty of Assi Ghat in evening time.
