Convenient location for what we were doing. It was nice to be able to get fresh milk for cups of tea in the room. The staff were pleasant, especially in the restaurant.

Lovely atmosphere , warm
Friendly staff throughout the whole hotel. From reception, Housekeeping, leisure center, the breakfast team and room service food was lush. Would stay again but for longer next time.

Set in lovely surroundings. But a bit too isolated if you don’t have a car.
Situated in Solihull and with Coughton Court reachable within 14 km, The Bell features express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a bar.
The old town has changed beyond recognition. Empty shops except for charity shops and 'The Mall', The quality of goods on sale rather poor unless you shop in one of the Pound Shops, John Lewis or Apple. 30 years has impacted negatively on the old Town, M & S gone, House of Fraser, good manners all gone, litter in the streets, even the coffee shops had dirty tables, litter on the floor, sad. Excuse my sarcasm in the next question

Sollihull has a lot to offer in things to do. The local National Institute (Baddesley Clinton) has 2 places to visit in a short driving distance with plenty of walking around the properties. There are restaurants within walking and short driving distances as well as grocery stores.

Didn't really see the place.
Didn't really see the place. We were there for an exhibition nearby. There are planty of good restuarants nearby. Just as well because the Regency Hotel restuarant was expensive and not very good.

Solihull is one of the better areas of the West Midlands and offers a pleasant stay and local amenities. Parking in central Birmingham is not easy but a local bus (Route 6) stops right outside the hotel and runs 8 times an hour weekdays, 6 on Saturday's and 4 on Sunday's. In the other direction this runs through to Solihull.
This city of Birmingham has lots to see and plenty of shops including the Bull Ring for those looking for a bit of retail therapy.

Charged more money than when we booked through booking.com...
Charged more money than when we booked through booking.com paid for 3 rooms and all on different floors. Said we had to pay extra for breakfast and charged us £155 a family room which wasn’t a family room no child bed was made up. Room full of marks on walls and ceiling. Ask to speak to manager and no manager was working on Saturday ! Really disappointed with village hotels we expected it to be as good as the Elstree one couldn’t be so different.
The Limes is set in a rural location. Conveniently located for Solihull and Birmingham, the M42 is a short drive away. The hotel itself is nicely set out. The staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds are well cared for, I spent half an hour after breakfast watching the fountain, whilst cool jazz was playing through an outside garden speaker. My room was clean, the bathroom likewise. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant / Bistro bar has a nice menu selection. The food was plentiful, nicely cooked, and well presented.
It was a last minute booking as our travel plans had changed so we just found the closest hotel to our location. The place looked good so we booked it and considering the rate and the description we thought it was a good deal. Unfortunately turning up at the place we thought it looked wonderful but we were unfortunately disappointed from then onwards.
We also needed dinner so booked into the Admirals for dinner paying the GBP 10 required as advance to booked the table.
the bed was comfy. also bottled water and coffee/tea facilities were complementary . they were refreshed each day. I liked the personal attention at reception and the fact that there was written information in the room and a bedside telephone in room to reception. At another hotel recently visited in Birmingham, reception was a digital robot accessed through an app. The robot did not understand English !
Staff were excellent and efficient, room was lovely and spacious with plenty of wardrobe space especially as we took our dog with us. We had room service and ate in the restaurant and both the food and service was excellent . The photos really do not do this hotel justice it’s really lovely and welcoming and would not hesitate recommending or staying here again if in the area.
the host employee was nice and accomodating once you find them. the rear parking lot has alot of spaces. but its NOT really secure. even though its suppose to be. NOT the greatest safest area. its mostly for locals for alcohollics..or party goers.
Lovely place to stay has everything you could need. Will definitely book again when next in area. Great communication with host via email. Smooth check in/out. Perfect little find if you don't want hassle of hotels or busy b & b's.
Hotel is well located and probably the nicer one in the area. Surrounded by greenery, right next to the high street of the town, across from many restaurants and a mall. Beds were comfortable, shower had good pressure.
Location was ideal for the NEC. Was an ideal location to travel into Solihull town centre and a few places to eat and drink in ten minutes walking distance. The house was very clean, well laid out and very comfy.
Very modern clean hotel with a private car park. in excellent location as not too far from city or motorway. Solihull town centre is a few mins walk away. All the staff were brilliant and accommodating.
we had a great staycation with village hotel, staff was super friendly and the bed was extremely comfortable with snazzy bathroom features. definitely would visit again for a short staycation.
So much space and really comfy beds. Staying with a work colleague so 2 bathrooms was great. 20 minute walk into Solihull centre. Parking space was a bonus rather than parking on the street.
We didnt have breakfast. There was no phone inn the room, no info leaflet in room regarding the amenities available or room service.
Was basic hotel but fine for a one nights stay.
A lovely hotel with well decorated, spacious rooms and very handy for nearby attractions. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the staff friendly and helpful.
The quality of food and service were exceptional! The best breakfast I've ever had in a hotel. The staff could not have been friendlier and more helpful.
