- the hotel is on the slopes of a hill overlooking the port and St Michael’s Mount. The common areas and rooms have excellent views
- breakfast was excellent with the chef cooking eggs on the spot as per your preference

The location was 10 min walk to Mousehole and had plenty of parking on site.
The breakfast was great and I could not have asked for more. The staff were very helpful and attentive.
I would also recommend lunch and dinner here too.

The hotel is sat almost on the sea front, very handy for catching the Scilly Island ferry (5 mins walk) and around a 10 minute walk from the bus and train stations. The room was generally clean and a comfortable bed.

The hosts Mike and Allie were extremely engaging and helpful. We missed our own pets so their dog and cat were a welcome site. The house is light filled and beautiful with comfortable rooms. It was nice to be off the beaten track on a quieter street which felt more residential. Fantastic recommendations for dinner and sightseeing.

Fabulous town, it’s got culture, it’s got architecture, it’s got a great rugby club, it’s got a busy harbour’ it’s got great cafes and restaurants, a stunning promenade and a lot more besides! Check out what’s going on at The Acorn Theatre which is brilliant. For a shortish trip see what’s on at The Minack. Best beaches are Sennen, Porthcurno, the Lelant ones, the St. Ives ones, Hayle Towans and Praa Sands. Perranuthnoe beach is good at low tide. Glad we got tickets for the Minack Theatre and explored the Gobal Telecommunications Museum, took the Coaster bus several tiimes, including to Land's End and walked the Coastal path to Sennen. Enjoyed the Penlee art gallery, especially in the midst of reading "Summer in February." Enjoyed a meal at the oldest pub, and at the Longboat Inn. i like walking on the promenade, along to Newlyn, took the Mounts Bay coast path to Marazion, took the bus to Trengwainton gardens- lovely to see the magnolias, rhododendrons and camellias - interesting walks round the gardens and a lovely cafe with friendly staff and good food. Visited Trewidden gardens by bus and also took the train to St. Ives- a lovely scenic run along the coast. Penzance town has a nice selection of shops and it is worth exploring the back streets and the area round Chapel street. On previous visits have been to the Morrab gardens and other parks. Penzance is easy to walk round, has a good bus service and the tourist information staff are very knowledgable and helpful.

Went in the end of February, it was a quiet time with everything closing by 10pm, and last buses leaving early, but it's just as lovely if not more so as any other time of the year could be. Even for hiking, if you get ready for the wind, the rain, the fog, the mud and the cold.

Penzance is a wonderful place to visit, so much to see, lovely individual shops, beautiful houses, fantastic pubs and eateries, well worth a visit, The Turks Head on church street has a fantastic menu and the food is delicious, the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, they also allow dogs which is fabulous, oh the beer is really lovely in there as well!!
