This grand old hotel has a wonderful beach front setting, friendly and helpful staff, and large rooms. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Beautiful hotel set in large grounds. I was only staying for one night but there were loads of activities for longer stays. A very friendly, helpful lady on reception greeted me (my dog also thought she was wonderful). I had an u0graded room which was large and very comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were very good.

Food was great. Staff were all incredibly helpful. Lucy (front of house) was amazing and gave us great local tips. The place was exceptionally clean and rooms were cleaned throughout the day which was really helpful.
The gardens were also fantastic and the private beach lovely.

A lovely coastal town with a busy redeveloped harbour and a National Maritime Museum facilities. Smaller cruise liners evidently also make stop overs at the town.Good eating options and even has a Trago Mills: a West country independent store found in several locations which stocks everything from phone leads to carpets! It also has a beligured yet working railway station as well as Gardens to explore. I ate an evening meal in the town at Fuel cafe: all locally sourced items of fish and chips, cheesecake and cream ( clotted, of course) with bottled local Rattler cider, followed with a Cornish coffee. Venue recommended.

Good informative free guide available from tourist information office - helped us choose activities that would make the most of our short stay.
Good choice of shops and restaurants. The sea/river is constantly present. The views across the water are amazing..
Recommend taking one of the ferries to the other side - St. Mawes, the gardens ........
The National Maritime museum is fascinating and warrants a second visit

Falmouth is a hilly town but has lots to offer for all age groups if you can walk up hills. The town is like most other towns with many empty shops sadly but there are still lots of shops and independent shops. The art gallery was a bit disappointing although the building it was in is beautiful. The Museum is good value for money and you can return any time within the year once you have paid entrance fee. Falmouth is very close to lots of other nice places in Cornwall. You can easily walk from the train station into town. I ate at Verdant Tapas bar and another Tapas bar outside of town, you cannot pre book at Verdants. The town is a bit tatty in places but it adds to its character! Lots of places to eat to cater for all peoples tastes!

The "Sabzi" cafe is great for vegan persian themed food, daily changing menu, a sample box is enough food for two people two meals. The Charity shops have more men's wear than most: Jackets, Shoes.

I love having a variety of safe sandy swimming beaches with calm waters ideal for paddleboarding, kayak exploration. Great range of places to eat, lots of options for vegans. Always some type of live music on somewhere. Good vibe to the town. Ideal location to explore the surrounding area by foot. A must visit is the Wilder Kitchen, such a gem serving delicious Thali. Also Castle beach cafe for takeaway breakfast or lunch and Ciuri Ciuri for the best italian Gelato (always great vegan choices too)
The location was fabulous near the beach and a short walk into Falmouth, but not for people with mobility issues. The hotel was modern, and most areas of the hotel were very stylish. Our room 11 was comfortable and was clean with a view partially looking over the sea but not exceptional for the money we paid. No aircon, safe or fridge. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The breakfasts were excellent but prices for evening meals were very expensive, so we ate elsewhere most evenings.
It was in a beautiful setting, a hotel in a garden.. Hotel Meudon is a real gem, with it Ercol furniture, quirky, color schemes, real linen . It really isn’t like other hotels it’s special.
I found the staff incredibly friendly and helpful especially Phil and the young man who was on his break from University from the summer don’t know his name.
The live music on Saturday afternoon was a wonderful extra touch .
Food was delicious ( yes expensive, but every food bills gone up!!) and beautifully presented.
Our room was spectacular, with stunning views in two directions, beautifully appointed and decorated. Breakfast was perfect every day 7 days in a row. Sharon and Nigel were so friendly and anticipated our needs and wants. The neighborhood felt safe to walk in day and night. It's a 6-7 minute walk to the beach, 12 minutes to the Falmouth University campus, and 15 minutes to many of the great restaurants in town.
It's positition for me plus been before so I knew my way around.
I have a cardiovascular problem so the little incline to the hotel suits me fine. It has a tap card to enter the building.
Room is compact with.ensuite,,tv and great heater with hairdryer.
Tea,coffee and biscuits plus a hot chocolate included.
Plus a great selection of books to borrow with information about Falmouth and surrounding areas.
Room 12 had a small balcony and magnificent views over the sea. A compact room, perfect for a single person (though it was a double). Opening the velux window meant I could hear the waves - very relaxing. Substantial breakfast set me up for the day. All staff were so helpful and friendly - thank you. I will definitely return again some day. Falmouth is a very special place :-)
Staff were lovely - a proper Cornish welcome and prepared to do as much as possible to help where necessary. Beccy kindly prepared me a take-away breakfast for my early morning start on Saturday. Much appreciated. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere and is superbly located with fantastic views across Falmouth Bay down to The Manacles. Best view in Falmouth? I think it might be!
Very nice room and bathroom, clean, comfortable and cosy. Lovely views of the coast and garden. Breakfast was good and the food I ordered for dinner was very good. Nice attention to detail and good service. The hotel is in a lovely location away from the hustle and bustle of Falmouth. But near Trebah and Glendurgan and the coastal footpath. Would stay there again.
Lucky to get a room at this hotel on the busy Sea Shanty festival weekend. Nice location next to the road in and out of Falmouth, so easy acess by car, and lots of guest parking in its grounds. 10 min walk down hill to the harbour and shops. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and clean rooms, and good range of choices at breakfast.
Good location in the Falmouth harbour, there's a Bar on the ground floor and a restaurant on the first floor. We visited the restaurant for a dinner which was OK (reservation is necessary). All major sites are close, parking is possible nearby in front of the Tesco Express overnight from 5pm until morning is free.
Such a great place, when I booked I was just looking for somewhere to stay for a couple of nights as I just needed a room to stay in. The room was immaculate, loads of plugs. Free WiFi, new tv with loads of channels without the faff. I genuinely loved it and would chose it over a hotel next time I’m in Falmouth!
Staff were very friendly and attentive. Room was clean and spacious. Facilities were good and food was amazing. We had lovely cocktails before dinner in the bar area. Big selection for breakfast and all really tasty. Only a short walk into Falmouth too.
Fantastic hotel, Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
Breakfast is worth it, great selection voice and an amazing view over the harbour.
Room was also very clean and had a lovely bathroom.
Cant wait to come back next year.
Located in beautiful countryside with limited sea views. Short drive to Falmouth which boasts maritime museum and range of eateries, shops and amenities. Fine dining in the hotel itself at a reasonable price is a bonus.
Staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. Hotel cleanliness very good. Room was clean and comfortable. Food very good. Staff accomodating, we switched one of our booked evening meals to a lunch, without any quibbling.
The hotel was lovely .. very warming.. great hospitality.. our bedroom was very comfortable and very clean … not too far to walk into Falmouth .. Will definitely be going back … next time we will stay longer x
Lovely hotel and good base for us in Falmouth. Spacious room & lots of lovely hot water in bathroom 🙂.
Decent breakfast & all the staff were very pleasant.
We will return again this year
Lovely inland facing single room.
Breakfast overlooking the estuary.
Easy walk into Falmouth town centre from the hotel.
Parking can be tricky at busy times.
